William Edwy Ryerson stone

Surviving second class saloon steward William Edwy Ryerson is remembered in St Mary’s churchyard, on Runwell Road in Runwell, Essex. His grave was unmarked following his death until the centenary of the disaster when a stone was placed on his grave by his great grandson, Tom Ryerson.

The stone has the following inscription:

In the neighbouring earth lie
the mortal remains of
William Edwy Ryerson
7th December 1878 - 9th December 1949
Served as 2nd class steward
on SS Titanic in 1912.
